By choosing energy saving windows you may not feel like you are saving the planet, but the insulating properties of the thermally efficient spacer bar are such that they can help reduce heat loss by a staggering 94% through new windows. If you choose to go green and select a window that is rated C or above the amount of energy saved you could: Run 9 televisions for a year Drive an average car 600 miles Make 34,000 cups of tea Less heat loss means lower fuel bills for yourself, and lower carbon emissions for the environment!!! After rigorous testing from the BSI and extensive simulation testing, we are now pleased to offer a range of products that all fall between the higher end specification of A, B and C rated windows. To make these changes we have had to firstly alter the make up of the window frame itself. In the case of the A rated window, we have now included special foam insulation to the steel reinforcing chamber on the outer frame, and have also had to specify special make up's of glazing to ensure optimal energy saving. A Rated windows are made up by adding insulation to the full outer frame. The glass is made up of Diamant Glass to outer pane, Planitherm Total Glass to inner pane and the unit is Argon Filled with Swiss V Warmedge black spacer. A rated windows are only available in White upvc. B Rated windows are made up by changing the glass to Planilux Glass to outer frame, Planitherm to inner pane, Argon gas filled unit with Swiss V warm edge black spacer. C Rated windows are made up the same as B rated, although the unit is filled with air, not argon gas. B and C Rated are available in White or colour on white Pvc. Please note to keep the energy efficiency of the glass no decoration can be put inside of the glazed unit. Today, selecting energy efficient windows for a consumer is easier and better to understand with WINDOW ENERGY RATINGS (WER), which are independently assessed. What does the Energy Efficient Window Ratings label tell you? The WER uses scales to rate the windows, which ranges from A to G. The rating is based on 3 key elements, which are Thermal Transmittance (U Value), Solar Value (G Value), and the Air Leakage (L50). Due the this fact Focus PVCU LTD have taken the decision to offer and market windows that achieve a rating of C or above, because products that achieve these ratings are eligible for labeling and marketing as being Energy Efficient and can use the certification, which has been developed by the BFRC and is easily identified by end users when purchasing other white goods such as fridges/ freezers and washing machines. All installations of a WER rated windows are covered under our 10 year guarantee and the CPA Insurance backed guarantee. Customers will be provided with a Fensa certificate and an energy rating certificate |
